Biography of Vitas Naudziunas
Vitas Naudziunas completed his Masters of Physical therapy at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario in 2013. He
completed his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio. Since graduating, his sole focus has been outpatient orthopaedics. Vitas has, and continues to strongly focus on further developing his clinical skills through various continuing education courses to help improve patient outcomes.
Before entering into the world of physiotherapy, Vitas was on occasion a patient himself having played NCAA basketball in the United States and professionally in Spain. Those experiences have helped him understand what a patient goes through when they have an injury and are unable to compete or participate in the activities that they enjoy, or even have pain going through their daily activities.
Vitas Naudziunas approaches each patient looking for the cause of the injury in order to make treatment more efficient and to also prevent future occurrences of the condition for that given patient. He has a functional approach to treatment with the knowledge that moving well means feeling well. His course work in SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) helps him find the movement errors that can contribute to various injuries. His post graduate course work in acupuncture, dry needling and various mobilization techniques has complimented his hands on treatment.
In his free time Vitas enjoys strength training and also continuing to work on his own mobility, movement and flexibility. He spends the rest of his time with friends and family, reading and spending time outdoors.
