Biography of Nikki Garcia
Nikki graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology degree in 2015 and went on to study at Western University to attain her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2018. After graduation, Nikki completed a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship with Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine clinic and worked heavily with athletes at Fanshawe College as well as several sport teams around London. She has comprehensive experience in both clinical treatment and on-field coverage for high level athletes such as contributing to the success of the men’s volleyball 2019 CCAA Nationals championship team. Nikki also has extensive experience working with other sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, rugby, hockey and football.
Nikki currently holds her Level 1 and 2 Orthopaedic Division levels and plans on continuing through the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy system. She is also in the process of attaining her Sport Physiotherapy Certificate credentials and becoming a Dry Needling provider. Nikki loves to educate and empower clients with knowledge and motivation to become active participants in their rehabilitation process. Her treatment approach focuses more on movement patterns and motor control to allow the body to function better as a whole.
