Biography of Arman Golizadeh
Arman completed his Masters degree from Leeds Beckett University in Leeds, United Kingdom in 2017. Prior to his Physiotherapy degree he completed a Specialized Honours Kinesiology degree at York University in 2014. Arman has had most of his experience in orthopaedics and sports injuries. He takes pride in helping post-operative patients (shoulder, ACL, and meniscus surgeries) return to their sport or work at their highest level. In addition, he has a special interest treating shoulder injuries.
Prior to physiotherapy, Arman worked as a trainer for several years. He was the Athletic therapist and strength coach for various hockey, soccer, and basketball teams. He had the opportunity to learn from experienced therapists at a professional sport level while in England at Leeds United F.C. His previous experience has given him a strong background in sports injuries, movement, sport specific prehab, and performance.
Arman completed courses in spinal manipulation, shoulder rehab, movement screening, and Neurofunctional Acupuncture. He is looking to further advances his skills by completing the Advanced Neurofunctional Sports Performance Program at McMaster University. He takes an evidence-based patient centred approach to rehabilitation. He believes every individual should have a specialized program catered to their personal and physical needs.
In his free time Arman enjoys strength and movement training, playing in a soccer league, boxing, BJJ, and is always in search of good coffee.
