We’re excited to announce that on June 9th, LiveActive Sport Medicine in Etobicoke will be re-opening. Virtual care remains available at both Etobicoke and the Beach locations.
LiveActive Sport Medicine’s Commitment
Health is our priority and we have implemented changes within our facility to keep you and our team safe. We are reducing the number of therapists and patients that are allowed in the clinic at one time, we are staggering appointment times to ensure we prevent overcrowding within the clinic, and have increased our already high standards for cleaning. We are lucky to have as much space as we do, however, in an effort to control what we touch and use, we will be creating exercise zones to ensure all items used get cleaned appropriately.
At the beginning of each shift, our team will be completing a full health screen to ensure it is safe for them to treat patients.
We will ask each patient to complete a mandatory online screen prior to arriving at our facility. Upon arrival, we will confirm the results of that screen to ensure nothing has changed.
What to Expect

Please arrive at the time of your appointment. There are a few reserved seats in the waiting area, however, we will be asking patients who do not have mobility concerns to wait outside the clinic until their therapist welcomes you in.
In an effort to keep our space safe for everyone, we ask, when possible, that you come alone to your appointment. Guardians or aids are more than welcome, and they will be screened and asked to wear the appropriate protective equipment throughout their stay with us. If someone will be joining you to your appointment, please advise us ahead of time.
Please come prepared for your appointment. This means wearing attire that is appropriate for your appointment. For example, if you are seeing one of our physicians about your knees, please ensure you are wearing shorts to the appointment. Should you have any questions about proper attire, please ask us ahead of time. Should you need to layer up for a cold day, we will have a bag for you to place all of your belongings in.
We are spacing out appointments to ensure there is adequate cleaning time between each patient. We will be disinfecting all contact areas and any exercise equipment used during our appointments. We already have high standards for cleanliness, but we are raising the bar throughout our facility.
Personal Protective Equipment
We are asking everyone entering our facility to wear a mask. If you have one at home, please bring it with you. If you don’t have one, we will provide one for you. We will have hand sanitizer and clear instructions on how to put on your mask before you enter the facility. Our staff are being asked to do the same and in some circumstances may be wearing a face shield. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable in our space. Should you have any concerns, please let us know and we’ll gladly listen.
At this time, we will be accepting contactless payment. This means for all of our Non-OHIP services, we will still be billing directly to your insurance company, but for any outstanding balance, we will ask to have a credit card on file at the time of booking. A receipt will be provided to you electronically. We accept Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.
At LiveActive, we appreciate that in-person visits may not be comfortable for everyone. In an effort to maintain access during this difficult time, we will continue with our virtual care option for anyone who is interested. A virtual appointment can help supplement in person appointments to help progress your care.
These steps will allow us to take our first steps forward to re-opening in an environment where we all feel safe.
